When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. You can find the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so you don’t have to re-enter your details the next time. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we’ll also set up several cookies to save your login and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days; screen preference cookies last for one year. If you select «Remember Me», your login will remain active for two weeks. If you log out, those cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply shows the post ID of the article. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the external website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the content, especially if you’re logged in to that site.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognize and approve future comments automatically.
If you register on our website (if available), we also store the personal information you provide in your profile.
You can view, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except your username).
Site administrators can also view and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided.
You may also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be filtered through an automated spam detection service.
